Licensing Models
In the section below you can find detailed information on the different supported licensing models.
StandAlone
Licenses in the stand-alone licensing model are bound to a specific product and are charged based on the time and the number of seats they are valid for.
A stand-alone license allows you to use the supported products without the need of an internet connection.
The following things should be considered for the stand-alone licensing model:
* An internet connection is not required
Charged based on the time and the number of seats the license is valid for
This licensing model is supported by all products
License is bound to a specific product
License is not bound to a specific version of the product
When an stand-alone license is activated, the product can be used until the activated license expires.
Expiration of StandAlone license
When the license expires the product can no longer be used.

Tokens
The Token (also known as pay-per-use) licensing model charges based on the product usage per user per day.
Every product consumes Tokens differently. For more information please see the Token Licensing section on the Activation and Trial limitations page of the respective product.
The following things should be considered for the Token licensing model:
An internet connection is required
Charged on a per user, per product, per 24 hours basis
License has no expiration date
Same license can be used with all products supporting the Token licensing mode
License is not bound to a specific version of the products
Once Tokens are charged the product is valid for 24 hours (daily pass). In that time frame no more tokens will be charged for the used product.
It is possible to close the product or even restart the machine and they are still valid for the same user and the same product.
If however the product is started as another user on the same machine or as the same user but another machine, tokens will be charged again.
Grace Period
In case the tokens run out or no internet connection is available, a grace period allows you to still use the product for a maximum of 10 days.
When the license enters the grace period a notification is shown:
No tokens left:
No internet connection:
If Tokens are purchased or the Internet connection becomes available again the grace period is reset.
Tokens which are requested during the grace period will be remembered and consumed when Internet connection is available again and/or Tokens are purchased.
Example:
Assuming that a product requires 10 Tokens and the product is used with a license that has 5 Tokens left. The balance will be -5 after the product has been used.
When an additional 100 Tokens are purchased for that license and the product is used (at least 24 hours later),
it will consume the required 10 Tokens to run and additionally the 5 Tokens that were overdrawn. The balance would then be 85.
Expiration of Token license
After the grace period expires the product can no longer be used.
A notification will be shown to the user:
No tokens left:
No internet connection:
